Admission Requirements at St Lawrence College

  1. Academic Requirements: International students must meet the minimum academic requirements for admission. This typically includes the completion of secondary education that is equivalent to Canadian high school completion. Applicants must submit their official transcripts or academic records, including course grades and graduation certificates. If these documents are not in English, they must be translated and officially certified.
    • Students must also complete Program-Specific Prerequisite courses.
  2. English Language Proficiency: International students whose first language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency. Accepted language proficiency tests include the TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or other equivalent exams. Students must obtain a minimum score of 6.0 overall on the IELTS academic test, a score of 78 on the TOEFL iBT test, or a score of 105 on the Duolingo test. Please note that the minimum score requirements may vary by program.
    • To apply for Graduate Certificate and Degree Programs students must obtain a minimum score of 6.5 overall on the IELTS academic test, a score of 83 on the TOEFL iBT test, or a score of 115 on the Duolingo test.
  3. Supporting Documents: International students may be required to provide additional supporting documents, such as personal statements, letters of recommendation, and/or a resume/CV. These documents can help provide a comprehensive overview of the applicant’s qualifications and experiences.

Tuition, Fees, and Refund Policy

Tuition: 

  1. Bachelor of Business Administration Tuition: $21,722 CAD
  2. Certificates & Diploma Programs Tuition: $9,000 CAD – $16,672 CAD
  3. English as a Second Language (ESL) – Level 1 & Level 2 Tuition: $6,057 CAD
  4. English as a Second Language (ESL) – Level 3 & Level 4 Tuition: $6,830 CAD
  5. Post-Graduate & Fast-Track Programs Tuition: $16, 130 CAD – $16,672 CAD
  6. Tuition Deposit: $2350.00 CAD due 21 days from the date of application

Fees: 

  1. Application Fee: $100 CAD
  2. Homestay Placement Fee: $250 CAD
  3. International Transcript Assessment Fee: $75 CAD – $120 CAD
  4. Books Fee: $400 CAD – $800 CAD start-up cost
  5. International Health Insurance Fee:

Refund Policy: 

St. Lawrence College offers a refund option for prepaid tuition fees if an applicant is denied a student Visa. The college requires the applicant to submit a valid Visa denial letter issued by the Canadian High Commission within 10 days of the semester’s start. Upon verification of the letter’s authenticity, St. Lawrence College will process the refund, deducting a $150CAD refund processing fee.

Deadlines

International students are welcome to submit their applications at any time throughout the year, based on their convenience and individual circumstances. However, some programs are very competitive, hence to be eligible for admission to these programs, it is necessary to submit your application before the Equal Consideration Date of February 1st.

  2. Canadian Experience Scholarships: This scholarship is offered to international students who have graduated from a Canadian High School, College, or University other than St. Lawrence College. The scholarship amount, which can reach up to $1,000 CAD, will be credited to the recipient’s student account and can be used to offset the tuition fees for the second semester.
  3. SLC Loyalty Scholarships: This scholarship is offered to international students who are planning on taking two different academic programs at St. Lawrence College.

    To be eligible, the student must have successfully finished the first semester of their academic program at SLC and have accepted and paid the deposit for the second program. The scholarship amount, which can reach up to $1,000 CAD, will be credited to the recipient’s student account and can be used to offset the tuition fees for the second semester.
